Henan Haitai Heavy Industry (HTCRANE) has officially delivered a tailor-made 600-ton shipbuilding gantry crane to Zhejiang Jinchuan Shipbuilding. The unit has passed full installation, commissioning and acceptance, and is now in operation.

As the global shipbuilding industry shifts toward larger, smarter and greener production, heavy lifting equipment has become a core competitive advantage for shipyards. Conventional general-purpose cranes struggle with low positioning accuracy and high safety risks, failing to meet modern hull block assembly demands.

Built on over 10 years of marine heavy industry experience, the custom 600-ton gantry crane integrates intelligent closed-loop control, multi-redundant safety protection and high-efficiency variable-frequency hoisting. It is equipped with millimeter-level laser positioning, intelligent anti-sway technology, and over 20 safety interlock functions including overload protection and fault self-diagnosis.

The crane will cover all lifting requirements for vessels up to 100,000 DWT at Zhejiang Jinchuan Shipbuilding. It can complete large hull section hoisting and erection in a single operation, expected to improve shipyard workflow efficiency by over 40% while reducing labor intensity and safety risks.

This delivery demonstrates HTCRANE’s technical strength in marine lifting equipment, and marks another step for Chinese high-end equipment to replace imported solutions and enter the global market.
